Changing Hearts and Minds on Planned Parenthood - Virtual February 5, 2025 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM CT Virtual, Wisconsin Talking about abortion access and Planned Parenthood services is one of the best ways you can stand up for reproductive health; but where do you start? Sometimes we get caught in debates or arguments and lose sight of the people who are impacted. For this reason, PPAWI is eager to share the Conversational Approach with you. Rooted in psychology, this interactive 2-hour training gives you the tools to have meaningful conversations and become more effective advocates. This approach to advocacy is used throughout PPAWI from staff to volunteers with the goal of changing hearts and minds. Using the approach, we’ll reconsider our assumptions about what it looks like to support the freedom to decide, acknowledge that people may have conflicted feelings, and find common ground based on shared values.

New volunteers will meet with an organizer for a brief orientation prior to the event. Maximum of 3 volunteers needed, sign up will be closed after that. We will talk about our history, staying safe, and other training opportunities. This event will be held on Zoom and participants will receive a link upon signing up.
