South Carolina is currently the ONLY state in the southeast where abortion access has not been slashed since Roe fell in June of 2022. On Tuesday, May 23, the SC Senate will debate S474, which was passed on May 17 by the SC House. This is an extreme bill that outlaws abortion before most people know they are pregnant, threatens healthcare providers with jail time, and includes no support for sexual and reproductive education and care.
